Withdrawals...

FRUSTRATION! I have about 5 minutes on a library computer with 2 fussy kids to tell you I have no internet connection at home, and I won't until April 23rd... and Blogger loses my post!

Anyway - that's it in a nutshell. No internet. So I'll be gone for a while. See you when I can!

And the winner is...

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness! What a fun one year give-away! I haven't gotten around to visit everybody's sites yet, but thank you so much for visiting and leaving a comment! I'll be visiting you soon.

So I decided I needed to put all names into something yarn-related. You know, to honor the fiber that keeps me going.... remember this bag?

Then I decided to see if Big Boy could follow instructions and pull just one name out of the bag.

Then I asked him to show me the name on the paper (that was a fear... that he would just run off with the name and maybe eat it or something).

He decided it would be funny to wear the paper as a name tag... It's not very clear in the picture, but the clear winner was.... willblogforshoes! Congratulations! Head on over to her great blog - I poked around it and it's a lot of fun!
Thanks to oh amanda! and lindabelle for mentioning me and my blogiversary on their great blogs!
OK... next time... some NEW new things. I swear, I have crafting ADD.

My first ever give-away!

Happy one year to me! As I mentioned a little bit ago, to celebrate my first year of blogging, I am giving away a little crafting "kit," filled with goodies to help you make one of my new favorite things.... AMIGURUMI!

Yes, I am so excited and I want to share this little joy with everyone....

First of all, the book.... so much FUN! I've gotten several books on amigurumi lately, and this is my favorite one. Look at some of the lovelies you can make with this book!

And I've already made you one! A little turtle in my favorite color combo.... green and purple!
Hubby doesn't understand why his head is so big (the turtle's head, not Hubby's!). Men... They just don't understand! I tried to explain, but to no avail. The turtle's eyes are made of felt, so it is completely baby friendly, if you have small ones in the house like I do. A picture for size reference:

Then, to help you get started, an array of yarn (I chose these colors randomly, and I think they are a good combo to create any number of cute critters)...

...a starter pack of crochet needles, and some different types of safety eyes so you can decide which ones you like best.

Sooooo..... to enter, leave a comment on this post! It's that easy! And all you have to do is make sure you comment before midnight ET on April 2. Please be sure that you have left a way for me to contact you (by leaving your email address or blog address when you fill out the comment form). I'll do a drawing from the comments, and post the winner here on Friday!

Thanks for making this first year a fun one. I've met a lot of great people through blogging, and I'm glad you're a part of my blog experience!
